Now that October’s over, it can seem like all the Halloween festivities have been tossed out the window and now everyone is waiting eagerly for Christmas. As a result, November can seem a little boring. However, if you know where to look, plenty of local November events are happening right here in Rolla, so you and the family don’t have to get cabin fever waiting for Thanksgiving and beyond.
First of all, if you’re into theater, why not check out the showing of “Black Comedy” at the Ozark Actors Theatre? With love on the line and humorous misunderstandings galore, you’re sure to have a good time. Various showings will be available throughout the month.
If you’re more of an athletic type or even just want to honor our veterans, the Honoring Our Heroes Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K offers participants of various skill levels the ability to get out for a brisk morning walk, run, or jog to raise money for our vets on November 19th.
November 24th is, of course, Thanksgiving, which means the Galloping Gobbler – another marathon – is happening in Rolla that morning.
Following shortly after, on the 28th, you can stay up late for the Observatory’s Public Viewing Night, allowing visitors to stargaze at the Orion Nebula.
Check out these local November events and you won’t be bored during this “in-between” month!
