It wasn’t long ago that General Motors revealed the all-new Buick Regal to the cheers of enthusiasts around the world. The upcoming 2018 Buick Regal will be available in two body styles. Notably, the latest model bids farewell to the sedan body style, and instead, replacing it with a hatchback and station wagon.
The 2018 Buick Regal will feature the hatchback, called the Sportback, and station wagon, referred to as TourX. The two models will offer more utility without sacrificing the Regal’s sleek styling.
The Regal Sportback is the closest to the sedan, featuring a coupe-like roofline, low stance, and long styling. A hatch covers the cargo area, which executives hope to offer a greater challenge to competing crossovers.
The Regal TourX comes in closer to a crossover in design and features an athletic, rugged style that is likely to challenge models like the Subaru Outback and Audi A4 Allroad.
Excited drivers can look forward to the arrival of the new Regal at the end of 2017. The 2018 model will be made in Germany. While the Regal may be under an American brand, the primary target is China, where the consumers bought more than three times as many units compared to the United States market.
